AU Small Finance Bank, India's largest small finance bank, has announced a collaboration with Intellect Design Arena to adopt the Purple Fabric platform.  

This move is set to accelerate the bank's transition into an AI-first banking institution.

As per exchange filings, on May 19, 2026, AU Small Finance Bank revealed its partnership with Intellect Design Arena, a leader in AI-first financial technology.  

By integrating the Purple Fabric platform, AU SFB aims to enhance its AI capabilities and establish a technology-driven banking model.  

This collaboration signifies a significant step in the adoption of enterprise AI within the Indian banking sector. 

AU SFB, with over 2,790 banking touchpoints across 21 states and 4 union territories, serves more than 1.2 crore customers.  

The bank is focused on embedding intelligence throughout its operations and customer interactions.  

By leveraging Purple Fabric, AU SFB seeks to build a scalable AI foundation that supports domain-driven innovation and seamless ecosystem integration.

Purple Fabric provides AU Small Finance Bank with the tools to build and scale domain-specific AI agents across various business functions.  

The platform supports a multi-model LLM Hub, offering flexibility in model choice. It also enables the processing of unstructured data at an enterprise scale and integrates smoothly with existing technological ecosystems. 

To deliver early business impact, AU SFB will utilise PF Credit agents, which are AI-powered decision engines capable of real-time customer data analysis and automated credit assessments.
