Infosys has expanded its long-running partnership with Finnish forest industry company Metsä Group through a new multi-year agreement announced on 5 August 2026, as per the press release.
The agreement covers the management of the company's global IT operations and extends the range of services already being handled by Infosys.
The work will support Metsä Group's ongoing changes to its technology environment across offices and production sites.
Under the agreement, Infosys will manage application services, cloud operations, workplace support, service desk operations, and on-site IT and operational technology (IT/OT) interface services.
The services will be delivered across Metsä Group's mills and office locations. The company is bringing these functions together under a single operating model as part of changes to its IT structure.
The engagement includes the deployment of Infosys Topaz Fabric within Metsä Group's IT operations. The platform will be used to support routine IT activities, including service management, issue handling, and automation of selected processes.
According to Infosys, the system will also be used to improve the flow of operational data and support technology teams in managing day-to-day IT services.

We are confident in our joint ability to deliver on these targets and accelerate the transformation of Metsä's IT, powered by AI.”
Ruchir Budhwar, EVP & Industry Head, Europe, Manufacturing, Infosys, said, “The forestry industry is contending with rising cost pressures, growing operational complexity, and the need to scale AI-driven innovation, all at once. Metsä Group is approaching this with real clarity and ambition, and its decision to consolidate and transform the Group’s IT with Infosys reflects the trust built over years of collaboration.”
