Infosys has for the first time disclosed the contribution of its artificial intelligence portfolio, highlighting the growing role of AI in its revenue mix, as per Reuters.
Artificial intelligence services accounted for 5.5% of Infosys’ revenue in the December quarter. The company reported a total Q3 revenue of ₹45,479 crore, equivalent to $5.01 billion.
Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said, “It is growing at a robust pace. It is extremely dynamic and working well with our clients,” noting that Infosys’ AI offerings span autonomous agents and embedded systems for physical devices and hardware.
The company is currently engaged in 4,600 AI projects and has developed more than 500 AI agents.
India’s $283 billion IT sector is facing increasing scrutiny amid concerns that advanced AI tools could disrupt traditional outsourcing models.
Technology stocks have recorded their worst weekly performance in more than 10 months, with nearly $40 billion erased from the industry’s market capitalisation in February. Concerns have partly centred on rapid advancements in AI tools developed by Anthropic.
Peer Tata Consultancy Services has stated that its AI services generate about $1.8 billion annually, representing roughly 5.8% of its total revenue.
Infosys also announced a collaboration with Anthropic to establish a dedicated centre focused on building and deploying AI agents.
The initiative will begin with telecom applications before expanding into financial services, manufacturing, and software development.
India is currently hosting the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi from February 16-20, underscoring the country’s focus on technology-led growth.

As of February 18, 2026, at 9:53 AM, Infosys Ltd share price is trading at ₹1,358.30 per share, reflecting a decline of 2.6% from the previous closing price. Over the past month, the stock has declined by 19.22%.
With AI contributing 5.5% of quarterly revenue and a pipeline of 4,600 projects, Infosys is positioning artificial intelligence as a central pillar of its evolving services portfolio amid shifting industry dynamics.
