Infosys announced on January 27, 2026, that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with AI-powered development platform Cursor, as per press release.
The partnership is intended to support enterprise software engineering and system modernisation as companies increase the use of artificial intelligence in their technology operations.
The 2 companies will establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on the use of software engineering agents. Infosys engineers will use Cursor’s development tools across both existing and new enterprise systems.
The CoE will work on building and updating AI-native digital products and related applications.
Infosys said Cursor’s platform will be integrated with its Topaz Fabric suite, which combines infrastructure, data, models, applications and workflows.
The company stated that this integration is expected to support faster modernisation of core systems and improve development productivity through automation-led processes.
According to the company’s exchange filing, Cursor’s platform is used by 64% of Fortune 1000 companies. The platform offers features such as multi-agent development, automated test generation and accelerated code refactoring, which are designed to reduce manual development effort and improve software delivery timelines.
Cursor CEO and co-founder Michael Truell said Infosys’ scale and delivery capabilities make it a suitable partner to demonstrate enterprise software engineering use cases.
Infosys CEO and Managing Director Salil Parekh said the collaboration is aimed at helping enterprises build and scale AI-based digital solutions and convert concepts into operational outcomes.
