Infosys has entered into a strategic collaboration with Cognition to deepen its artificial intelligence-led software engineering capabilities, reinforcing its focus on autonomous and agentic AI-driven enterprise transformation.
As part of the partnership, Infosys will deploy Cognition’s AI software engineer, Devin, across its internal engineering teams and select client engagements globally.
Devin will be integrated with Infosys Topaz Fabric, the company’s AI-first service framework that connects data, cloud, models, applications and workflows.
The collaboration is designed to accelerate software development cycles, improve productivity and shorten time-to-market for large-scale enterprise systems.
Infosys has been piloting Devin internally for over six months, during which it reported measurable gains in engineering efficiency and code quality.
The AI engineer is expected to play a key role in brownfield modernisation, legacy system upgrades, technical debt reduction and continuous production support.
Initial deployments are being led by Infosys’ financial services vertical, covering banking, insurance, payments and capital markets clients.
Beyond immediate deployment, Infosys and Cognition plan to co-develop industry-specific AI-native solutions and engineering frameworks.
The partnership aims to move enterprises beyond AI-assisted development toward autonomous execution, while maintaining strong governance, security and compliance standards.
