On July 15, 2026, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited released its standalone financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

The company reported a 27.8% year-on-year increase in Profit After Tax (PAT) to ₹386.18 crore, driven by a 24.9% rise in Value of New Business (VNB) to ₹571 crore.

For the quarter ending June 30, 2026, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance's total income increased by 12.1% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹28,394.90 crore, up from ₹25,320.15 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.  

This represents a substantial quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) rise of 650.7% from ₹3,782.55 crore in the March 2026 quarter. 

The company's net profit (PAT) for the June 2026 quarter rose by 27.8% YoY to ₹386.18 crore, compared to ₹302.08 crore a year ago.  

However, this marks a decrease of 36.6% QoQ from ₹608.81 crore in the March 2026 quarter. 

Annual Financial Overview for FY26 

For the financial year 2026, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance reported a total income of ₹63,420.38 crore.  

The net profit (PAT) for the same period stood at ₹1,600.36 crore. 

Growth in Profitability and Business Expansion 

The company's PAT for the June 2026 quarter increased by 27.8% YoY to ₹386.18 crore, compared to ₹302.08 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.  

This growth was supported by a 24.9% increase in VNB, which reached ₹571 crore. The VNB margin improved by 220 basis points, reaching 26.7% for the quarter. 

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance also experienced a 21.3% YoY increase in new business received premium, amounting to ₹4,866 crore. The total number of insurance policies issued rose by 13.2% during this period. 

Protection Products and Corporate Developments 

Protection products played a crucial role in the company's performance, with a 60.4% surge in retail protection annualised premium equivalent (APE).  

The retail new business sum assured expanded by 45.9% to ₹1.13 lakh crore, increasing the total in-force sum assured to ₹48.06 trillion. 

In a corporate update, the Board of Directors approved a proposal to rename the company as "ICICI Life Insurance Limited." This change follows a reclassification request from promoter status to investor status by a key promoter entity.

Financial Position and Solvency 

The life insurer maintained a robust financial position, with assets under management (AUM) growing to ₹3.34 lakh crore. The solvency ratio stood at 225.4%, comfortably above the minimum regulatory requirement of 150%.

As of July 15, 2026, at 2:25 PM, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance share price on NSE was trading at ₹522.60, up by 3.70% from the previous closing price.
