Investors must ensure sufficient funds in their accounts, as the funds matching the accepted bids will be blocked until allotment completion.
Allocation for Retail Investors and Employees
Of the total offer, 58,02,146 shares, equivalent to 10% of the offer, are reserved for the retail category on August 26, 2026. Additionally, 25,000 shares, representing 0.0026% of the total equity, are allocated for eligible employees of Hindustan Copper Limited.

The government initially offered 2.61 crore shares, which represents a 3% stake, but with the green shoe option, the total sale can extend to 6% of the company's equity.
Retail investors, categorised by an authorised capital limit of ₹2 lakh, have a 10% reservation in the base issue, supplemented by an additional 25,000 shares for eligible employees.

As per news report, on the first day, the response from non-retail investors saw 8.91 crore bids against 2.61 crore shares available in the base issue, indicating a subscription rate of 3.41 times.
This led the government to exercise the green shoe option. The shares have been offered at a floor price of ₹514 each.

Hindustan Copper is the sole listed pure-play copper company in India, commanding access to approximately 45% of the nation’s copper ore resources.
This OFS is an integral part of the government’s disinvestment strategy.
