Heritage Foods Limited announced its financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026, highlighting strong consumer demand and value-added product growth despite significant supply-side challenges and elevated milk inflation.

The company stated that the dairy industry witnessed one of the sharpest raw milk inflation cycles in recent years due to weak flush season conditions and lower milk availability across key regions.

Revenue Growth Supported by Consumer Demand

Heritage Foods reported consolidated revenue of ₹11,576 million in Q4 FY26, registering a 10% year-on-year growth. For the full FY26 financial year, revenue increased 9% to ₹45,260 million.

The company’s consumer business maintained double-digit momentum, supported by premiumisation, strong brand demand, and market share gains across categories and distribution channels.

Milk sales volumes grew 1% year-on-year to 11.73 LLPD during Q4 FY26, while average milk selling prices improved 4% to ₹57.80 per litre due to calibrated pricing actions.

Value-Added Products Drive Growth

Value-added products (VAP) remained a key growth driver for the company during the quarter. VAP revenue increased 18% year-on-year to ₹3,957 million in Q4 FY26, while FY26 VAP revenue rose 13% to ₹14,678 million.

The contribution of VAP to overall revenue improved to 35.5% in Q4 FY26 from 32.5% in the corresponding period last year.

Several product categories witnessed strong demand growth during the year. Paneer volumes increased 32% in Q4 and 27% in FY26, while curd volumes grew 11% in Q4 and 7% during FY26. Ice cream volumes also rose 26% in Q4 and 15% in FY26.

The company noted that recently launched products such as Livo Yogurts, Sampurna A2 Curd, Nourish+ High Protein Paneer, and Alpenvie Ice Cream contributed positively to growth.

Margins Impacted by Higher Procurement Costs

Despite revenue growth, profitability remained under pressure due to rising milk procurement costs. Average milk procurement prices increased 8% year-on-year to ₹46.67 per litre during Q4 FY26.

EBITDA for the quarter declined 35% year-on-year to ₹522 million, while EBITDA margin contracted to 4.5%.

Profit after tax (PAT) for Q4 FY26 fell 37% year-on-year to ₹239 million.
