HCL Technologies Share Price in Focus; Signs MoU To Set Up Global Technology Center in Bhubaneswar

HCL Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Odisha to establish a Global Technology Center in Bhubaneswar, as per an exchange filing dated July 24, 2026.  

The company announced that the centre is scheduled to begin operations in 2028 and will have the capacity to accommodate around 5,000 employees.  

Global Technology Center to Start Operations by 2028 

According to HCLTech, the Bhubaneswar facility will be developed alongside its proposed AI Data Center in the Odisha Sovereign AI Park. The company noted that the project is to create direct and indirect employment.  

It also plans to work with educational institutions and the state government on programmes related to artificial intelligence and digital technology skills.  

Technology Center to Be Developed Alongside AI Data Center 

The Bhubaneswar centre will be added to HCLTech's existing network of technology campuses and delivery centres in India.  

The company currently operates facilities in Noida, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Nagpur, Madurai, Vijayawada and GIFT City.  

HCLTech's India Network and Global Presence 

HCLTech employs more than 223,000 people across 60 countries. The company provides services in artificial intelligence, cloud, engineering, software and digital technologies to industries including financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, retail and public services.  

For the 12 months ended June 2026, it reported consolidated revenue of $14.8 billion.

As of July 24, 2026, 2:55 pm, HCL Technologies Ltd share price was trading at ₹1,269.70, up 2.01% from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion  

The agreement sets out HCLTech's plans for a new technology centre in Bhubaneswar with capacity for around 5,000 employees. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2028.
