The Indonesian business footprint advanced along a steady path of recovery in underlying volume and profitability. The regional market delivered 15% sales growth alongside 10% underlying volume growth.
Topline performance was led by specialized Shampoo Hair Care products and household insecticides. The re-launch of the Stella LV product line witnessed robust consumer traction and rapid retail sell-outs.
International Cluster Performance Summary
The Africa, USA, and Middle East (GAUM) regional cluster delivered an outstanding quarter. Total sales surged 47% year-on-year, representing an underlying currency growth of 25% in constant terms.
The international cluster registered a 17% expansion in underlying volumes. Driven by specialized FMCG product scaling, regional operating EBITDA surged by an impressive 42% over the previous year.
Africa Business Restructuring Progress
The GAUM operational cluster achieved a structural improvement in EBITDA margins, moving from high single digits to the mid-teens. This structural shift was overseen by managing director Aasif Malbari.
FMCG portfolio expansion was supported by doubling media investments alongside strong hair fashion traction. Portfolio simplification and improved cost discipline delivered several successive quarters of top and bottom-line expansion.
