On July 30, 2026, Exide Industries Limited released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.
The company reported a total income of ₹5,555.25 crore and net profit of ₹351.30 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2026.
In the June 2026 quarter, Exide Industries Limited witnessed a 17.6% year-on-year growth in total income, amounting to ₹5,555.25 crore.
This represents a 17.2% increase from the ₹4,739.37 crore recorded in the March 2026 quarter.
The company's net profit also saw a rise, with a 27.9% year-on-year increase to ₹351.30 crore, up from ₹274.58 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit surged by 62.1% from ₹216.73 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
For the fiscal year 2026, Exide Industries Limited reported a total income of ₹18,096.21 crore. The company's net profit for the same period stood at ₹859.92 crore. These figures reflect the company's financial performance over the fiscal year, showcasing its growth trajectory.
Profitability was achieved despite substantial geopolitical disruptions in West Asia, which caused volatile input prices and a depreciating Rupee against the US Dollar.
Total standalone expenditures rose to ₹4,775.77 crore, with the cost of raw materials accounting for the vast majority of outlays at ₹3,431.18 crore.
Total consolidated expenses stood higher at ₹5,068.78 crore. To counter these severe raw material spikes, Exide executed calibrated price corrections alongside structural supply-chain optimization practices.
These active responses successfully expanded the standalone EBITDA to ₹655 crore, effectively strengthening the standalone EBITDA margin by 20 basis points year-on-year to reach 12.4%.
A primary strategic update for the quarter centers on the greenfield lithium-ion cell factory being constructed in Bengaluru by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL).
Exide infused an additional ₹100 crore of equity into EESL during July 2026, bringing its absolute cumulative equity funding in this battery venture to ₹4,902 crore.
The gigafactory successfully closed critical infrastructure milestones during the quarter, with 100% of equipment fully installed across all four manufacturing lines and all underlying utility networks completely operationalized.
The facility has already dispatched initial cell samples to prospective buyers, and the management remains fully on track to begin direct corporate revenue generation from this plant during the remaining periods of FY27.
