Eternal share price (NSE: ETERNAL), the parent company of Zomato, declined sharply on Friday as investors worried about growth prospects. The stock has fallen significantly over the past month and is now trading close to its 52-week low.

Eternal Share Price Falls to 11-Month Low

During Friday’s intraday trade, the stock dropped about 3% to ₹214.15 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, marking its lowest level in nearly 11 months.

At around 2:29 PM, the shares were trading near this level while the BSE Sensex was down around 1.7%.

Over the past one month, the stock has declined about 25% and is now at its lowest level since April 2025. The company’s 52-week low stands at ₹189.60, recorded in April 2025.

Energy Crisis Raises Concerns for Restaurants

The pressure on the stock comes as global energy markets face disruptions following tensions in West Asia and supply issues around the Strait of Hormuz, an important route for energy shipments.

India’s food service industry heavily depends on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for cooking.

Despite these challenges, food delivery platforms such as Zomato and Swiggy are not currently seeing a major decline in order volumes.
