Divi's Labs Shares Surge Over 3% After Q1FY27 Earnings Results: Net Profit Jumps 65.5% YoY to ₹902 Crore

Divi's Laboratories reported a consolidated net profit of ₹902 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 65.5% from ₹545 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, as per the exchange filings.  

Revenue from operations increased 28% year-on-year to ₹3,080 crore, compared with ₹2,410 crore a year ago. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹3,144 crore, marking a rise of over 24% year-on-year. Meanwhile, total expenses increased by more than 9% to ₹1,964 crore. 

Profit Before Tax Improves Despite Forex Loss 

Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose to ₹1,180 crore, compared with ₹733 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company, however, reported a foreign exchange loss of ₹7 crore, against a forex gain of ₹39 crore recorded in the year-ago period. 

Separately, the board approved the appointment of B Vara Prasad and J Srinivasa Rao as senior management personnel with effect from August 1, 2026. 

Market Capitalisation Moves Higher 

Following the earnings announcement, Divi's Laboratories moved ahead of Eicher Motors and Hindalco Industries in terms of market capitalisation.  

On August 3, 2026, at around 11:35 am, the company's market value stood at approximately ₹2.25 trillion, compared with ₹2.22 trillion for Hindalco and ₹2.21 trillion for Eicher Motors. 

Among listed pharmaceutical companies, Divi's Laboratories is now the second-largest by market capitalisation after Sun Pharmaceutical Industries. It ranks ahead of Torrent PharmaceuticalsCiplaZydus LifesciencesLupin and Mankind Pharma.

Divi's Laboratories Share Price Performance  

As of August 3, 2026, 2:17 pm, Divi's Laboratories share price was trading at ₹8,357.00, up 3.74% from the previous closing price.

Divi's Laboratories reported higher revenue and profit for the June quarter, while the post-results rally lifted its market capitalisation above Hindalco Industries and Eicher Motors. The company is now the second-largest listed pharmaceutical firm in India by market value.
