Dilip Buildcon Limited has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder for a road construction project in the state of Odisha.
The project, valued at ₹160.20 crore excluding GST, involves the construction of a diversion road from 4/700 km to 11/500 km on the Duduka-Gopalpur-Toparia Road in Sundargarh district.
The tender was floated by Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCCL), a government-owned infrastructure development company responsible for executing major construction projects across the state.
The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model, which means the contractor will be responsible for designing, procuring materials, and constructing the project within the agreed timeline and budget.
As part of the contract, Dilip Buildcon will construct a six-lane diversion road along with service roads to support smoother traffic movement and improve regional connectivity. The project stretch covers approximately 6.8 kilometres and aims to enhance road infrastructure in Sundargarh district.
The order is awarded by a domestic entity and is expected to be completed within a period of 18 months from the commencement of construction activities.
Infrastructure projects such as this play an important role in improving road connectivity and supporting economic activity in the region. The development of wider roads and service lanes is expected to reduce congestion, improve safety, and facilitate the movement of goods and passengers.
For Dilip Buildcon, the project adds to its existing portfolio of road and infrastructure development projects across India. The company has been actively participating in government infrastructure initiatives, particularly in the roads and highways sector.
On March 16, 2026, Dilip Buildcon share price opened at ₹444.70. At 10:50 AM, the share price of Dilip Buildcon was trading at ₹425.20, down by 3.45% on the NSE.
