Deccan Gold Mines Share Price Surges; Kyrgyz President Inaugurates Altyn Tor Gold Project

Deccan Gold Mines has reached a production milestone in Kyrgyzstan, with President Sadyr N. Japarov inaugurating the processing plant at its Altyn Tor Gold Project on September 12, 2026. The ceremony was held online, while senior company and project officials attended from the site.
The project is being operated through Deccan Gold's subsidiary Avelum Partner LLC. It has now moved beyond exploration and development, making it the first gold mining project by an Indian company in Kyrgyzstan to reach the production stage, according to the company.
First Gold Doré Produced in August 2026
The company said the first gold doré from Altyn Tor was produced in August 2026. Work is now focused on taking the project towards full-scale production, with the leach circuit and tailings facility still to be completed and commissioned.
Revised mine planning and additional resource drilling are also planned as part of the ongoing work.
Deccan Gold Expands Beyond Gold
Altyn Tor is part of a wider shift in Deccan Gold's portfolio. The company is pursuing gold and critical mineral opportunities across India and overseas, including nickel-copper-PGE in Chhattisgarh, tungsten and tin in Spain, and lithium and tantalum in Mozambique.
Managing Director Dr. Hanuma Prasad Modali said the project demonstrates that Indian mining companies can develop resources overseas and build capabilities across global mineral supply chains. He described Altyn Tor as the beginning of a larger global journey for Deccan Gold.
Altyn Tor Project In Kyrgyzstan
The project is located in the Naryn region of central Kyrgyzstan, around six hours by road from Bishkek.
It forms part of the Soltan Sary mineralisation zone, which extends over 300 km and lies within the Tien Shan Shear Zone.
