CSB Bank Share Price Falls Over 7% After Q1 FY27 Earnings Results: Total Income Up 18% YoY

On July 22, 2026, CSB Bank Limited released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.
The bank reported total income of ₹1,516.07 crore and net profit of 150.04 crore for the June 2026 quarter.
CSB Bank Q1 FY27 Earnings Results
The bank's total income rose by 18% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,516.07 crore, compared to ₹1,285.65 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Sequentially, the income increased by 0.6% from ₹1,507.07 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
The net profit for the June 2026 quarter grew by 26.5% YoY to ₹150.04 crore, although it declined by 25.6% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹201.58 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
Income and Profit Analysis
The bank's total income for the financial year 2026 stood at ₹5,681.79 crore, while the net profit for the same period was ₹633.18 crore.
Total deposits grew by 26% YoY to ₹45,415 crore as of June 30, 2026, from ₹35,935 crore a year earlier. The CASA ratio was 19% as on June 30, 2026.
Net advances increased by 24% YoY to ₹40,309 crore, driven by a 47% growth in gold loans and a 37% increase in wholesale lending.
Net Interest Income (NII) rose by 26% YoY to ₹479 crore for Q1 FY27, compared to ₹379 crore for Q1 FY26, and was up 3% QoQ from ₹464 crore for Q4 FY26.
Non-Interest Income and Cost Metrics
Non-Interest Income was ₹229 crore for Q1 FY27, down from ₹245 crore for Q1 FY26 and ₹306 crore for Q4 FY26. The Cost Income Ratio (CIR) was 64.55% for Q1 FY27, slightly lower than 64.70% for Q1 FY26, but higher than 61.88% for Q4 FY26.
The cost to assets ratio improved to 3.31% in Q1 FY27 from 3.49% in Q1 FY26 and 3.63% in Q4 FY26.
Operating Profit and Asset Quality
Operating profit grew by 14% YoY to ₹251 crore for Q1 FY27 from ₹220 crore for Q1 FY26. The bank's capital adequacy ratio was 19.96%, above the regulatory requirement, but lower than 21.71% on June 30, 2025.
Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) were 1.75% as of June 30, 2026, compared to 1.66% on March 31, 2026, and 1.84% on June 30, 2025. Net NPAs were at 0.39% as of June 30, 2026, down from 0.40% on March 31, 2026, and 0.66% on June 30, 2025. The provision coverage ratio, including technical write-offs, was 86.83% as of June 30, 2026.
