Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company has announced an equity allotment under its employee stock option framework, reflecting continued implementation of its compensation structure linked to employee participation.
The company has allotted a total of 2,87,232 equity shares to eligible employees who exercised their stock options. Each share carries a face value of ₹2. This allotment follows approval from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, which oversees employee compensation and incentive structures within the organisation.
The issuance represents the conversion of employee stock options into equity shares, enabling employees to participate directly in the company’s ownership structure. Such allotments are typically part of long-term incentive plans designed to align employee interests with the company’s performance.
Following the allotment, the company will proceed with applying for the listing of these shares on stock exchanges. The shares are expected to be listed on both the National Stock Exchange and the BSE, under the trading codes CHOLAFIN EQ and 511243 respectively.
The listing process is aimed at completing the remaining formalities associated with the issuance of these shares, after which they will become part of the company’s tradable equity capital.
The allotment highlights the company’s continued focus on employee-linked incentive mechanisms. By converting stock options into equity, the company broadens employee participation while incrementally expanding its equity base.
Employee stock option schemes are commonly used to retain talent and align workforce incentives with long-term organisational goals. The latest allotment reflects the exercise of previously granted options rather than a fresh issuance of new instruments.
