CG Power is focusing its efforts on achieving substantial revenue from its semiconductor business.

The company anticipates that its semiconductor packaging facility will generate approximately $500 million annually when operating at full scale, influenced by product variations and current market conditions, as per The CNBCTV18 news report.

CG Power's Ambitions in the Semiconductor Sector

CG Power aims for $500 million in annual revenue from its semiconductor packaging facility as it scales up. Chairman Vellayan Subbiah emphasised the business's immediate goal of increasing utilisation at the new facility, expecting to reach 70% utilisation within 4 years.

He highlighted that revenue per chip could be vastly higher in advanced chip packaging compared to conventional ones.

Favourable Industry Conditions

Subbiah noted that the global packaging market is constrained by supply as manufacturers prioritise capacity for AI-related products.

This shortage supports current industry pricing trends. CG Power aspires to significantly contribute to India's semiconductor manufacturing ambitions, with this facility as a pivotal development.

Strength in Power Equipment and Financial Services

The power equipment sector benefits from investments in electricity infrastructure and renewable energy integration. CG Power's unexecuted power order book has surpassed ₹14,000 crore, driving plans for capacity expansion.

The upcoming transformer manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh is poised to be India's largest.
