Ceigall India Share Price Surges Over 5%; Emerges L1 Bidder for REC Power Development Project

Ceigall India has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major power transmission project connecting Gujarat and Maharashtra with an annual transmission charge of about ₹608.67 crore.

Ceigall India has emerged as the L1 bidder for a power transmission project covering parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra, as per the exchange filing. The bid was conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) through a competitive bidding process.  

The project is related to the transmission of power from Lakadia, Jam Khambhaliya, and Jamnagar. It will help move power generated in these areas to the wider electricity network. 

₹608.67 Crore Annual Transmission Charges 

The project has an annual transmission charge of around ₹608.67 crore. According to the company filing, these charges will apply for a period of 35 years.  

300 Km Transmission Line 

The project will include a 765/400 kV AIS substation along with around 300 km of transmission lines. It is part of a larger transmission system being developed to evacuate power from Lakadia, Jam Khambhaliya, and Jamnagar.  

36 Months to Complete the Work 

Ceigall India will have 36 months to complete the construction work. After the project is commissioned, the operational period is planned for 35 years.  

Project Awarded Through Competitive Bidding 

The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. Ceigall India emerged as the L1 bidder after the e-reverse auction conducted by RECPDCL.

Ceigall India Share Price Performance 

As of August 26, 2026, at 2:02 PM, Ceigall India share price was trading at ₹340.85 per share, reflecting a surge of 5.09% from the previous trading session.
