Ceigall India Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for a transmission project with an estimated cost of ₹5,300 crore, including GST.  

The company received the LoI through email on September 3, 2026, according to its regulatory filing.  

Project Covers Three Power Evacuation Zones 

The LoI is for the “Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1GW) – Part-B”. The project has been awarded under a Tariff Based Contract Agreement.  

765/400 kV Substation and 300 km Line 

The scope includes a 765/400 kV AIS substation and a 300 km transmission line. The contract is classified as a domestic order, with REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited named as the awarding entity.  

36-Month Execution Period 

Ceigall India is required to complete the work over 36 months. The project also carries an operational period of 35 years. The company’s filing sets out the execution and operational periods as part of the terms of the LoI.  

₹608.67 Crore Annual Transmission Charges 

The annual transmission charges under the project are ₹608.67 crore for 35 years. The total project cost is approximately ₹5,300 crore, inclusive of GST.  

The filing does not disclose any interest of Ceigall India’s promoter, promoter group or group companies in RECPDCL.  

Ceigall India has also stated that the contract does not fall under related party.
