Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has approved fundraising of up to ₹5,000 crore through the issue of secured or unsecured redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the company’s Board of Directors on August 18, 2026, and was announced through an exchange filing on the same day.
Fundraising Through NCDs
According to the exchange filing, BPCL can raise the funds through one or more series or tranches. The company can issue a maximum of 10 tranches, with the total amount across all the issues capped at ₹5,000 crore.
The fundraising has to be completed within one year. The Board approval covers both secured and unsecured redeemable NCDs. The filing does not state how much will be raised through each tranche or when the individual issues will be made.
Details of Each Issue
BPCL has not announced the allotment details for the proposed NCDs. The company noted that the allotment and other details will be decided at the time of issuing each series or tranche.
