Aster DM Quality Care has announced an investment of ₹1,315 crore in Karnataka to expand its hospital network, as per news reports. The plan includes two new hospitals in Bengaluru and additional capacity at an existing facility.
The announcement was made after Executive Chairman Dr Azad Moopen met Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to discuss the company's proposed investments in the state.
Under the plan, a 550-bed hospital will be built in Yeshwantpur and a 460-bed hospital in Sarjapur. The company will also add 350 beds to Aster CMI Hospital. These projects are expected to increase the number of beds available across its Bengaluru operations.
The announcement comes less than a month after the merger of Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India was completed on July 2. The merged company operates as Aster DM Quality Care and brings together four hospital brands, Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare and KIMSHEALTH.
The combined entity has a network of 39 hospitals spread across 28 cities with more than 10,600 beds. It provides healthcare services across primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary care through hospitals located in South and Central India.
Aster currently operates four hospitals in Karnataka, Aster CMI Hospital, Aster RV Hospital, Aster Whitefield Hospital and Aster Women & Children Hospital. Together, these facilities have 1,329 operational beds.
Besides adding hospital capacity, the company said the investment will cover areas such as medical education, research, healthcare technology, skill development, innovation and medical tourism.
As of July 24, 2026, 3:30 pm, Aster DM Quality Care Ltd share price closed at ₹789.90, up 0.71% from the previous closing price.
The ₹1,315 crore investment is to expand Aster DM Quality Care's hospital capacity in Karnataka through new facilities and additional beds in Bengaluru. The announcement follows the company's merger with Quality Care India earlier this month.
