Adani Green Energy Limited informed stock exchanges that the United States Department of Justice (US DOJ) has filed a motion seeking dismissal with prejudice of charges against Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani, Vneet Jaain and other defendants in a criminal indictment pending before a New York court.

The company stated that the matter relates to earlier proceedings filed in the United States and clarified that Adani Green Energy itself is not a party to the case.

US DOJ Files Motion Seeking Dismissal of Charges

According to the company’s exchange filing dated May 18, 2026, the US DOJ has moved the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York seeking dismissal with prejudice of charges filed under criminal indictment number 24-CR-433.

The filing stated that dismissal with prejudice would prevent any future prosecution against the defendants on the same allegations and would effectively close the matter permanently once approved by the court.

Charges Related to Earlier Criminal Indictment

The indictment had been filed by the US DOJ against Gautam S. Adani, Sagar R. Adani, Vneet S. Jaain and certain third-party individuals.

As per the disclosure, the individuals faced allegations linked to securities fraud conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy and securities fraud under the proceedings initiated in the United States.

The company stated that the US DOJ reviewed the matter and decided, under its prosecutorial discretion, to seek dismissal of the charges.

Court Order Awaited

Adani Green Energy noted that the final order from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York is still awaited.

The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations as part of ongoing updates related to the matter.

Company Clarifies It Is Not a Party to Proceedings

The company reiterated in its filing that Adani Green Energy Limited is not a party to the proceedings and that no charges have been brought against the company itself.

The update was signed by Company Secretary Pragnesh Darji and shared with both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange.
