Acutaas Chemicals Share Price Surges Over 14% After Q2FY27 Net Profit Rises 71.4%

Acutaas Chemicals Limited reported a 42.7% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to ₹4,369 million in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹3,062 million in the same quarter last year. The company informed the exchanges about the development on October 27, 2026.
Revenue was also up 32.5% from ₹3,297 million in the June quarter. Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹1,231 million, against ₹719 million in Q2 FY26, an increase of 71.4%.
The company reported a profit after tax (PAT) margin of 28.2%, compared with 23.5% a year earlier.
Operating Performance
EBITDA rose to ₹1,760 million from ₹953 million in the corresponding quarter last year, registering growth of 84.6%. The EBITDA margin increased to 40.3% from 31.1%.
Gross profit stood at ₹2,715 million, up 59% from ₹1,707 million in Q2 FY26. The gross margin rose to 62.1% from 55.8%. The company attributed the improvement in margins to higher gross margins and operating leverage.
Higher depreciation expenses and lower other income partly offset the factors supporting the PAT margin.
Pharmaceutical Intermediates Drive Revenue
The pharmaceutical intermediates business recorded growth in its core advanced intermediates and contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) operations. This helped offset weaker performance in the speciality chemicals segment.
Revenue from commodity chemicals declined as the company continued its planned phase-out of these products. Its BFC business was also affected by a change in ownership of a US customer.
South Korea Facility and FY27 Guidance
During the quarter, Acutaas inaugurated its South Korea manufacturing facility ahead of schedule. The plant will manufacture high-purity chemicals used in photoresists, semiconductor packaging materials, etching materials, and other semiconductor applications.
The company revised its FY27 revenue growth guidance to around 30%, from the earlier estimate of 25%. It also raised its EBITDA margin guidance to 38-40%, citing improved revenue visibility and its order pipeline.
