GAIL (India) Ltd has reported strong financial results for Q2 FY26, achieving a revenue of ₹35,031 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹2,217 crore. The company also recorded a significant growth in gas transmission and polymer sales, underscoring its robust operational performance.

GAIL's Q2 FY26 Earnings Results

In the second quarter of FY26, GAIL reported a revenue of ₹35,031 crore, up slightly from ₹34,792 crore in Q1 FY26. This growth indicates a steady expansion in the company’s core operations, particularly in natural gas transmission and polymer sales. 

Profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at ₹2,823 crore, an increase from ₹2,533 crore in Q1 FY26, while PAT surged to ₹2,217 crore from ₹1,886 crore in the previous quarter.

Half-Year Financial Snapshot

For the first half of FY26, GAIL achieved a total revenue of ₹69,824 crore, up from ₹66,622 crore in H1 FY25. However, profit before tax (PBT) fell to ₹5,357 crore, down from ₹7,095 crore during the same period last year. Similarly, PAT for H1 FY26 was ₹4,104 crore, compared to ₹5,396 crore in H1 FY25, reflecting the impact of increased operational costs.

Growth in Gas and Polymer Sales

GAIL saw impressive growth in gas transmission and polymer sales in Q2 FY26. The natural gas transmission volume reached 123.59 MMSCMD, while gas marketing volume stood at 105.49 MMSCMD. Polymer sales also rose to 209 TMT from 177 TMT in Q1 FY26, reflecting strong demand in both sectors.

Capex and Strategic Developments

During Q2 FY26, GAIL invested ₹1,662 crore in capital expenditure (Capex), with a cumulative total of ₹4,838 crore for H1 FY26. The company also highlighted significant infrastructure developments, including the dedication of the Srikakulam Angul Pipeline (SAPL) to the nation and the approval to lay the Vijaipur-Bina Pipeline with an estimated capex of ₹450 crore, which is expected to be completed in 3 years.

On October 31, 2025, GAIL (India) share price opened at ₹183.39 on NSE, above the previous close of ₹183.09. During the day, it surged to ₹185.90 and dipped to ₹181.30. The stock closed at ₹182.76 by the end of the day. The stock registered a marginal change of -0.18%.

Over the past week, it has moved up by 1.44%, over the past month, it has moved up by 4.70%, and over the past 3 months, it has moved up by 3.45%.
