Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has signed a 5-year agreement with Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) to set up training programmes for engineers. As per the news, the agreement was announced this week and will cover both technical and managerial aspects of the power sector.
The programmes will be organised for engineers, senior, and mid-level executives. Training areas will include power distribution management, safety standards, consumer services, and the use of new technologies. In addition, courses on managerial development, leadership, strategic management, corporate social responsibility, and innovation will also be included.
As part of the collaboration, Tata Power-DDL and BSPHCL will share intellectual resources and infrastructure. This will allow both organisations to roll out structured training programmes and provide exposure to different practices and systems followed in the power sector.
Separately, Tata Power-DDL recently introduced India’s first Micro-Substation equipped with a Power Voltage Transformer (PVT). The facility was launched in collaboration with Nissin Electric Co. Ltd at the company’s Rohini plant in New Delhi.
Developments such as these are to support training programmes by providing practical demonstrations of new technologies.
As per the news reports, Praveen Agrawal of Tata Power-DDL stated, "This partnership is a step towards shaping the future of India's power sector. By developing managerial and leadership skills among engineers, we aim to prepare a new generation of professionals who can drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.”
