Sensex Soars Past 82,000 on May 26; Tata Motors, M&M Lead Rally

Indian benchmark indices opened in green on Monday, May 26, 2025. At 10:05 AM, BSE Sensex rose over 661.94 points after the market opened and was trading at the 82,000 level. Sensex opened at 81,928.95 and was trading at 82,410.48, up by 0.84%.
BSE Sensex 30 Stocks
Out of the 30 stocks in the BSE Sensex, only 1 stock was trading in red, while the remaining stocks were witnessing a rise. Among the gainers, Tata Motors, stood out with an upward momentum, registering a notable gain of ~2.61% on the BSE as of 10:07 AM.
M&M gained 3.63%, followed by LT up by 1.50% and HCLTech rose by 1.45%. In contrast, Eternal (Zomato) was down by 2.76%.
Sectoral Performance
All the indices on BSE were in green. BSE Bankex and BSE Sensex 50 increased by 0.64% and 0.79%, respectively.
