Power Mech Projects Limited has secured significant solar power orders from Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL). The orders, part of the PM-KUSUM Component C2 Scheme, cover the development of 13.66 MW (AC) of solar capacity across multiple locations in Bihar under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and are expected to generate a cumulative revenue of approximately ₹159 crore.
The awarded contracts are focused on setting up Grid Connected Distributed Solar Power Plants aimed at the solarisation of agricultural or mixed feeders in power substations. These projects will be executed through the RESCO mode, wherein Bihar DISCOMs (NBPDCL/SBPDCL) will procure power.
The full scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing operation and maintenance of the plants along with the necessary transmission infrastructure. The development is scheduled to be completed within 12 months.
The projects are spread across three main locations in Bihar:
Each plant benefits from subsidies offered by both the Central and State Governments. For every MW installed, a subsidy of ₹1.05 crore will be provided by the Central Government and ₹0.45 crore by the State Government.
The estimated order value for each site is approximately ₹48.29 crore, ₹49.02 crore, and ₹61.78 crore, respectively. The nature of these orders is domestic, and they are being developed on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis under the PM-KUSUM Scheme Component C.
