National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) was gaining the spotlight on Friday. On December 13, 2024, NALCO share price opened at ₹230.90, almost the same as its previous close of ₹230.78. At 10:16 AM, the share price of NALCO was trading at ₹226.48, down by 1.86% on the NSE.
The stock touched its 52-week high recently on November 25, 2024, at ₹262.99.
Earlier in November, NALCO announced an interim dividend of ₹4 per share for the fiscal year 2024-25, at 80% of the face value of ₹5 per share. The record date for the dividend was set for November 29, 2024.
Looking into the financial performance, for Q2 FY 2025, NALCO reported financial growth, with net profit surging by 415% to ₹1,062 crore, up from ₹206 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total income for the quarter rose by 32% to ₹4,001 crore, compared to ₹3,044 crore in Q2 FY 2023-24.
In the first half of the current financial year, net profit soared by 199% to ₹1,663 crore, compared to ₹556 crore in the same period last year. The company also recorded its highest-ever domestic metal sales, reaching 2,21,966 MT, marking a significant achievement for the first half of the year.
Established in 1981, NALCO is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The company specialises in the production and sale of alumina and aluminium, playing a significant role in the country’s mineral and metal industries.
