Upcoming NFOs: 3 Mutual Fund Schemes Open from October 5, 2026

Three passive mutual fund schemes will open for subscription on Monday, October 5, according to The Economic Times report citing data from ACE MF. The NFOs will remain open until October 19, 2026. 

The three schemes are being launched by JioBlackRock, Kotak Mutual Fund, and HDFC Mutual Fund. They cover different fund structures, including a debt-oriented fund of funds and index funds. 

JioBlackRock Income Plus Arbitrage Omni FoF 

The JioBlackRock Income Plus Arbitrage Omni FoF will be a domestic debt-oriented fund of funds (FoF). The minimum application amount for the scheme has been set at ₹500. 

The scheme will be available for subscription from October 5 to October 19, 2026. It is one of the new offerings being introduced by mutual fund houses as they add to their existing range of schemes. 

Kotak Nifty 500 Index Fund 

Kotak Mutual Fund will open the Kotak Nifty 500 Index Fund during the same period. The scheme will be an index fund, with a minimum application amount of ₹1,000. 

Subscriptions for the NFO will open on October 5 and close on October 19, 2026. The fund is part of the latest set of passive schemes being launched by mutual fund houses. 

HDFC Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Plus 8-13 yr G-Sec 70:30 Index Fund 

HDFC Mutual Fund will launch the HDFC Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Plus 8-13 yr G-Sec 70:30 Index Fund. The scheme will be a debt-oriented index fund. 

The minimum application amount will be ₹100, the lowest among the three NFOs opening on October 5, 2026. The scheme's name specifies a 70:30 structure involving the Nifty LargeMidcap 250 and 8-13 year G-Sec components.

Conclusion 

The three NFOs will have a common subscription window from October 5 to October 19. Their minimum application amounts range from ₹100 to ₹1,000.
