Kotak Mutual Fund has launched a new scheme, Kotak Quality Overseas Equity Omni Fund of Fund (FoF), which invests in overseas equity mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) following a quality-based investment approach.

The new fund offer (NFO) opened-on March 6, 2026, and will close on March 20, 2026. The scheme is classified under the very high-risk category on the riskometer. Its benchmark is the MSCI World Index (Total Return Index).

The fund follows a fund-of-funds structure, meaning it will invest in units of other mutual funds and ETFs rather than purchasing global stocks directly.

Investment Objective

The stated objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in overseas equity-oriented mutual fund schemes and ETFs built around a quality investment theme.

Such strategies generally focus on companies with relatively stable earnings, balance sheets, and established business models. These companies are typically located across developed markets and global sectors.

However, as with all market-linked investments, there is no assurance that the investment objective will be achieved.

Underlying Global Funds

The scheme may allocate investments to international mutual funds and ETFs that follow the quality investment theme. One example mentioned in the scheme information is the GMO Quality Investment Fund, along with other similar overseas schemes.

Through these underlying funds, the scheme aims to access a portfolio of global companies across regions and industries. The exact allocation may vary depending on the funds selected and market conditions.

Investment Requirements

During the NFO period, the minimum initial investment amount is ₹1,000, and further investments can be made in any amount.

For systematic investment plans (SIPs), the minimum instalment is ₹500, with at least two instalments required under the plan.

An exit load of 1% will apply if units are redeemed or switched out within 90 days from the date of allotment. No exit load is applicable after this period.

Conclusion

The Kotak Quality Overseas Equity Omni FoF provides exposure to global equity funds that follow a quality-focused investment strategy through a fund-of-funds structure investing in overseas schemes and ETFs.
