ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has introduced the Dividend Leaders 50 Index Fund under its unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs), offering policyholders an option to invest in equities through a passive strategy linked to companies with consistent dividend payment records.
On February 23, 2026, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance announced the launch of the Dividend Leaders 50 Index Fund for its ULIP products. The new fund will track the BSE 500 Dividend Leaders 50 Index, which comprises 50 companies selected from the broader BSE 500 universe based on a consistent dividend payment record over the past 10 years.
The index is rebalanced annually. According to the insurer, the fund will follow a rule-based investment approach focused on companies with a history of dividend payouts, quality financial metrics and sector diversification. The strategy adopts a passive, index-mirroring structure rather than active stock selection.
As per the index factsheet cited by the company, the BSE 500 Dividend Leaders 50 Index has delivered annualised total returns of 33.63% over 3 years, 30.96% over 5 years and 20.40% over 10 years as of January 30, 2026.
The insurer noted that past performance does not guarantee future returns and that regulatory constraints may at times prevent full replication of index weights, which could result in tracking error.
The Dividend Leaders 50 Index Fund is available through select ULIP products offered by the company, including ICICI Pru Signature Assure, ICICI Pru SmartKid Assure and ICICI Pru Smart Insurance Plan Plus (SIP+).
