
In June 2026, mutual fund Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) inflows reached ₹31,781 crore, recording the highest figure in three months, as per the news report.
This represents a 3% month-on-month increase and a 17% rise compared to June 2025 data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).
Mutual fund SIP inflows saw an increment of ₹827 crore, or 3%, rising to ₹31,781 crore in June from ₹30,954 crore in May 2026. Annually, this was an increase of ₹4,512 crore over ₹27,269 crore in June 2025.
The equity mutual fund category notably jumped by 26% month-on-month, reaching ₹28,973.41 crore compared to ₹22,907.77 crore in May 2026.
Among equity fund categories, midcap funds received the highest inflows at ₹6,090.17 crore, followed by smallcap funds with ₹5,601.96 crore, and flexicap funds with ₹5,231.31 crore.
Conversely, dividend yield funds and Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSS) saw outflows, with net redemptions of ₹49.44 crore and ₹633.88 crore, respectively.
Sectoral and thematic funds recorded a 127% surge in inflows to ₹1,469.26 crore on a month-on-month basis. Midcap funds followed closely with a 39% rise, while value/contra funds and focused funds registered a 35% increase each.

Contrarily, debt mutual funds witnessed outflows for the second consecutive month, with investors withdrawing ₹1,09,053.65 crore in June 2026 after also pulling out ₹96,948.51 crore in May 2026. This trend indicates adjustments in investor preferences in the debt category.
The mutual fund industry experienced growth in SIP inflows, reaching ₹31,781 crore in June 2026, marking a 3% month-on-month and a 17% year-on-year increase. Equity mutual funds showed robust growth with ₹28,973.41 crore, while debt funds saw continued outflows.
