The March quarter witnessed a notable surge in smallcap Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) within mutual fund portfolios. These newcomers have reshaped the top holdings, drawing attention to a shift in investment patterns. 

Top Smallcap IPOs by Market Value 

In a significant move, smallcap IPOs have emerged as dominant forces in mutual fund portfolios during the March quarter.  

According to a report by Ventura, Amagi Media Labs and Fractal Analytics led the pack with market values of ₹907 crore and ₹861 crore respectively being held by mutual fund schemes. 

Strong Performance by Sedemac Mechatronics and Shadowfax Technologies 

Sedemac Mechatronics and Shadowfax Technologies followed closely with market values of ₹765 crore and ₹680 crore respectively.  

These companies have seen substantial participation from mutual funds, indicating their growing appeal in the investment landscape. 

Significant Holdings in CMPDI and Omnitech Engineering 

Another notable mention is CMPDI, with a market value of ₹496 crore, and Omnitech Engineering, with a holding value of ₹328 crore in mutual fund portfolios.  

These stocks illustrate the investors' interest in capitalising on emerging opportunities in the smallcap segment.

Powerica and Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Join the Ranks 

Powerica and Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions further enhanced mutual fund portfolios with market values of ₹233 crore and ₹185 crore respectively.  

Their inclusion underscores a diversification approach embraced by fund managers. 

Bharat Coking Coal and AYE Finance Complete the List 

The list is rounded off with Bharat Coking Coal and AYE Finance, holding market values of ₹169 crore and ₹105 crore.  

These companies have carved their niche in mutual funds, showcasing the broadening interest among investors in varied sectors.
