Helios Mutual Fund has unveiled the Helios India Small Cap Fund, an open-ended equity scheme designed to primarily invest in India’s small-cap companies. The fund’s New Fund Offer (NFO) will remain open until November 20. The scheme will be benchmarked against the Nifty Small Cap 250 Total Return Index (TRI), providing investors with a reference point to gauge performance.
According to Helios Mutual Fund, the new fund seeks to capitalise on India’s next phase of economic growth by targeting emerging small-cap businesses that are closely linked to the country’s capital expenditure, manufacturing, and consumption cycles. The fund will adhere to Helios’ research-driven and conviction-led investment philosophy.
Investors can participate with a minimum initial investment of ₹5,000 during the NFO, with additional contributions permitted in multiples of ₹1. The minimum subsequent investment is ₹1,000.

Helios Mutual Fund highlighted that small-cap companies often represent early-stage firms with significant long-term growth and innovation potential. The fund will focus on sectors such as healthcare, chemicals, capital goods, and consumer services, which are underrepresented in large-cap indices.
