Apparel company HanesBrands Inc. has entered into a multi-year agreement with Wipro Ltd. to upgrade its technology systems and cybersecurity setup. As per the exchange filings, the agreement focuses on using artificial intelligence to manage day-to-day IT operations and improve digital processes across the organisation.
The partnership is part of HanesBrands’ ongoing IT 2.0 programme for creating a unified system for managing IT services. Wipro will support this shift by introducing automated tools and data systems intended to simplify how the company’s digital infrastructure is managed globally.
Wipro will deploy its Wipro Intelligence™ WINGS platform for this project. The platform combines automation and data analytics to monitor IT operations, identify areas for improvement, and manage regular system tasks. It is expected to help make operations more structured and reduce manual intervention.
Alongside IT management, the agreement includes plans to upgrade cybersecurity. Wipro will bring in AI-based systems to detect and prevent potential threats. Automated workflows will be set up to handle incidents faster and maintain system stability for HanesBrands’ employees, suppliers, and partners.
By shifting to an AI-supported model, HanesBrands plans to maintain consistency across its IT network and ensure better adherence to compliance standards. The approach is also expected to improve the reliability of systems used for everyday business operations.
As part of the deal, HanesBrands will have access to the Wipro Innovation Network, which links Wipro’s labs, venture partners, and academic institutions. This will provide additional technical support for future IT and cybersecurity projects.
