TryfactaConnex To Invest $7.7 Billion In Uttar Pradesh for 1 GW AI Data Centre Campus

TryfactaConnex, an affiliate of the U.S. based Tryfacta, Inc., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish a large-scale AI infrastructure platform in India.
The announcement was made at the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi and includes an initial investment of approximately $7.7 billion for a 1-gigawatt hyperscale AI data centre campus.
Integrated Compute and Energy Platform
The proposed campus is structured as a vertically integrated platform combining high-density computing capacity with dedicated energy generation. It is designed to serve hyperscalers, sovereign AI programmes, enterprise cloud providers, and advanced research institutions requiring long-term energy reliability for intensive AI workloads.
The site has access to grid connectivity, water supply, fibre networks, and natural gas infrastructure. The energy architecture will incorporate grid power, natural gas generation, solar energy, battery storage, and future nuclear integration.
The company also plans a 3-gigawatt grid-integrated gas and nuclear platform to provide resilient baseload power. Over the coming decade, the development is expected to expand beyond the initial phase towards multi-gigawatt capacity.
Green Energy-Led Expansion Strategy
As per press release, Sanjeev Rajoura, Executive Vice President at TryfactaConnex, said the Uttar Pradesh campus has been designed “as a green energy-led platform,” enabling integration of multiple clean power sources at scale.
The company expects the development to support domestic cloud infrastructure, AI model training, enterprise computing, and public-sector digital platforms. The India initiative forms part of TryfactaConnex’s broader international roadmap to deploy gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure across global markets.
To finance the project in phases, the company is engaging institutional investors, infrastructure funds, technology partners, and energy developers.
