TCS Conducts Massive AI Hackathon, Drawing 2.8 Lakh Global Participants

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the successful completion of the tcsAI Hackathon 2025, the company’s first global artificial intelligence innovation challenge. The event drew a record-breaking 2.81 lakh participants from 58 countries, showcasing the company’s workforce enthusiasm toward artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Event Highlights and Participation
The hackathon aimed to create a collaborative “phygital” experience by bringing together people, platforms, and partners under one innovation ecosystem. Participants worked with AI tools from leading hyperscalers, niche partners, and TCS’s proprietary AI WisdomNext™ platform to build cutting-edge solutions across domains.
TCS provided unlimited on-demand AI labs and in-person AI Friday sessions, offering hands-on mentorship and practical exposure to emerging AI technologies. “Attracting over 281,000 participants is a powerful signal of how AI has captured the imagination of all TCSers,” said Aarthi Subramanian, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at TCS, as per news reports.
Future Outlook and Customer Integration
Following the success of the hackathon, TCS announced that the initiative will continue in the form of weekly AI Fridays at major campuses across India. The company also confirmed that several clients are evaluating the AI solutions developed during the event for integration into their products and services, reflecting the hackathon’s practical business relevance.
