Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will give higher variable pay to senior employees based on individual and unit performance, as per the news reports. This comes after the company released its Q2 results. The overall quarterly bonus has been increased compared to previous quarters.
Employees at the junior level, including grades C, C1, and C2, will continue to receive 100% of their quarterly variable allowance (QVA). They will also get their annual salary hikes as usual. The plan covers almost all employees except some new joiners.
For employees in C3A grade and above, variable pay will depend on business and individual performance. Overall, the payout for this group will be higher than last year. The company has clarified that the actual amount will vary based on the unit’s performance.
As per the PTI reports, TCS Chief HR Officer Sudeep Kunnumal, said, “Basically, it covers all the people who have been with our organisation, who are entitled for the quarterly bonus, except maybe for new joinees... but it covers practically every one... normally, at the junior level we have been paying 100 per cent, which is what will continue and for seniors, we will pay a higher amount, which is again based on the individual and unit performance.”
