Singapore’s Thakral Corporation Ltd announced that its subsidiary Bharat Skytech will start manufacturing drone components in India from May, aiming to tap a fast‑growing agricultural drone segment.

Thakral Begins Drone Component Production

The company will set up in house production lines for enterprise and specialised drone parts. The move follows a market forecast that the Indian drone ecosystem could rise from $500 million in FY2024 to $11 billion by FY2030.

Growth Potential in Agricultural Drones

Bharat Skytech supplies components to domestic producers of agricultural drones, a segment that Thakral describes as underserved. By localising the supply chain, the group expects to capture a larger share of the projected growth.

Retail Expansion Plans for DJI

Thakral, a distributor for DJI technology, intends to open 20 to 30 DJI retail stores across India and other South Asian markets within the next 2 to 3 years. Flagship outlets will launch in major cities from the first half of FY2026.

Financial Performance Highlights FY25

The group reported unaudited results for the 12 months ended 31 December 2025. Revenue rose 42% year on year to $411.3 million and net profit increased 5‑fold to a record $170.9 million.

Conclusion

Thakral’s entry into domestic drone component manufacturing, combined with retail store expansion and strong FY25 earnings, positions the company to benefit from the rapid growth of India’s drone market.
