Stocks are likely to remain in focus today as investors track management changes, quarterly results, business updates, regulatory developments, order wins and strategic decisions announced by companies. 

Several companies have reported developments that could influence stock-specific activity during the trading session, while new listings and corporate actions are also expected to attract market attention. 

HDFC Bank Ltd 

The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Bank for a period of three years, effective October 27, 2026. The bank's Board has subsequently appointed Bagchi to the position. He is currently Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. 

Manipal Payment and Identity Solutions Ltd 

Manipal Payment and Identity Solutions is scheduled to announce its first-quarter consolidated results today. Investors will track the company's profitability and revenue performance along with its business outlook. 

Pranav Constructions Ltd 

Pranav Constructions reported a 45.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit to ₹14.4 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹9.9 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue increased 15.7% to ₹164.5 crore from ₹142.2 crore. 

Bharat Coking Coal Ltd 

Bharat Coking Coal reported a 20.7% year-on-year increase in raw coal production to 2.57 million tonnes in September, compared with 2.13 million tonnes a year earlier. Coking coal production increased 21.5% to 2.49 million tonnes, while raw coal offtake rose 13.7% to 3.15 million tonnes. 

The company has also received a certificate proceeding from the Additional Collector, Dhanbad, concerning an alleged outstanding amount of ₹3,816.83 crore claimed to be recoverable on behalf of the Government of Jharkhand. The company is examining the matter and the basis of the claim and plans to take appropriate legal steps. 

DLF Ltd 

DLF announced the complete sell-out of The Aureva, its luxury residential project in Gurugram. The project has achieved sales of around ₹1,985 crore, highlighting continued demand for the company's premium residential developments. 

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd 

Aurobindo Pharma has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market Perampanel tablets in strengths ranging from 2 mg to 12 mg in the United States. The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to Fycompa Tablets, the reference listed drug marketed by Catalyst Pharmaceuticals Inc. The company plans to launch the product in the third quarter of FY27. 

Knack Packaging Ltd 

Knack Packaging has received an order worth ₹150 crore for three years from a leading US-based animal nutrition and feed company. Under the order, the company will supply packaging materials, including PLWPP bags and pinch-bottom bags, with supplies expected to total approximately 60 million bags annually. 

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd 

Tata Consultancy Services has entered into an agreement with Best Buy to transition the latter's Global Capability Centre in India to TCS. The partnership will combine Best Buy's retail and enterprise expertise with TCS's technology, engineering, artificial intelligence and global delivery capabilities. 

Hindalco Industries Ltd 

Hindalco Industries and AluChem Companies have jointly decided to terminate the Equity Purchase Agreement for the proposed acquisition of AluChem Companies Inc. and its specialty calcined and tabular alumina business. The decision follows extended delays in completing the transaction that were beyond the control of both parties. 

Hindalco will continue to evaluate opportunities, including in the United States, in line with its strategy, while AluChem will continue to independently serve customers across the specialty alumina value chain. 

Bajaj Finance Ltd 

Bajaj Finance's Board has approved plans to raise up to ₹11,700 crore through a qualified institutions placement and ₹5,800 crore through a preferential issue of warrants convertible into an equivalent number of equity shares to promoter Bajaj Finserv. The proposed fund raising will remain in focus as investors assess the company's capital plans. 

KPI Green Energy Ltd 

Alok Das has resigned from his position as Group Chief Executive Officer of KPI Green Energy, effective October 1, 2026. The management change is likely to remain under observation as investors assess the company's leadership transition. 

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd 

Rail Vikas Nigam had received a letter of award from East Coast Railway for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an IP-based video surveillance system for rolling stock. The order has subsequently been cancelled by East Coast Railway through mutual consent, with no financial repercussions for the company. 

Muthoot Finance Ltd 

Shareholders of Muthoot Finance have approved the appointment of Eapen Alexander as Whole-Time Director, Alexander George as Managing Director, and George Alexander Muthoot as Vice Chairman and Whole-Time Director. The appointments are effective October 1, 2026, and will remain in place until March 31, 2031.

Punjab National Bank 

The company secretary of Punjab National Bank has received an administrative warning letter from the Securities and Exchange Board of India investigations department concerning alleged violations of insider trading regulations by three designated persons and their immediate relatives. The matter involved six individuals trading in the bank's shares between June 24 and August 6, 2024. The warning is cautionary in nature and does not impose a financial penalty on the bank. 

Petronet LNG Ltd 

Petronet LNG's Board has approved the appointment of Sanjay Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective May 13, 2027. Kumar is currently Director (Marketing) at GAIL (India). 

Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd 

Sudarshan Chemical Industries has completed the acquisition of a 15.89% stake in Sudarshan Colorants India from Sudarshan Europe BV for ₹150.76 crore. 

Search proceedings have also been initiated at some of the company's offices and manufacturing units in Maharashtra by Maharashtra State GST officials. The company said it is extending full cooperation and assistance. It currently expects no material impact on its financials, business operations or other activities from the proceedings. 

Nirlon Ltd 

INRE Fund II bought 23.25 lakh shares of Nirlon, representing a 2.58% stake in the company, from Nihar Nandan Nilekani for ₹142.98 crore. The shares changed hands at ₹615 apiece. 

Elevate Campuses Ltd 

Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte acquired 9.98 lakh shares of Elevate Campuses, representing a 0.59% stake, for ₹33.97 crore. The shares were purchased at ₹340.14 apiece. 

Simplex Infrastructures Ltd 

Kedia Securities sold 5 lakh shares of Simplex Infrastructures, equivalent to a 0.63% stake, for ₹11.98 crore. The shares were sold at ₹239.78 apiece. 

Mainboard and SME New Listings 

AceVector, Orient Cables (India), Runwal Enterprises and German Green Steel & Power are scheduled for mainboard listing-related activity.  

Bench Mark Infotech Services, Himalayan Solar, Dudani Retail, Sai Urja Indo Ventures are among the companies under SME listing activity. 

Conclusion 

Management changes, quarterly results, project and business updates, regulatory matters, fund raising plans and corporate transactions are likely to drive stock-specific action in today's trading session.
