SIDBI Net Profit Climbs 14% to ₹5,493 Crore in FY26

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) reported a 14.2% increase in net profit to ₹5,493 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, from ₹4,811 crore in FY25, as per The Economic Times news report. 

The financial institution’s results were approved at its 28th Annual General Meeting held on August 24, 2026, at its head office in Lucknow. 

Loans and Assets Increase 

SIDBI’s loans and advances rose 16.8% to ₹5,79,755 crore in FY26, compared with ₹4,96,282 crore in the previous financial year. 

Its total asset base increased 11.3% to ₹6,32,378 crore as of March 31, 2026, from ₹5,68,239 crore a year earlier. 

Total Income at ₹41,940 Crore 

Total income rose 8.9% to ₹41,940 crore during FY26. Earnings per share for the year stood at ₹96.56. The annual general meeting also approved a dividend of 20% for FY25. 

NPA Ratios Remain Unchanged 

The gross non-performing assets ratio stood at 0.12% as of March 31, 2026. The net NPA ratio was 0.00%. 

These asset quality figures were reported along with the institution’s financial and operational performance for FY26. 

Growth Across Credit Segments 

Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Mittal said the institution recorded growth in both direct and institutional credit during the year. 

He said SIDBI would continue its financial, developmental and policy work for the micro, small and medium enterprises sector, with a focus on areas including access to finance and enterprise creation. 

AGM Approves FY25 Dividend 

Members approved a 20% dividend for FY25 at the annual general meeting. The meeting also reviewed SIDBI’s financial and operational performance for FY26. 

The institution reported increases in profit, income, loans, and total assets for the financial year ended March 2026.

Conclusion 

SIDBI’s net profit rose to ₹5,493 crore in FY26, while its loans, income and asset base also increased from the previous year. The gross NPA ratio stood at 0.12% at the end of March 2026.
