Sep 2025 Auto Sales: Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and M&M Shares in Focus

On October 1, 2025, the automakers announced their sales figures for September 2025, reflecting overall growth across the automobile industry. Passenger vehicle manufacturers Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) reported notable increases, with M&M registering an impressive 47% growth.
In FY25, total production across all vehicle categories, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles, reached 3,10,34,174 units. Specifically, in March 2025 alone, production of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles totalled 24,76,915 units.
India's automobile exports also saw strong momentum, rising by 19% in FY25 to over 5.3 million units, fueled by robust international demand for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.

- Tata Motors: For Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicles segment, September 2025 proved as a landmark month. Sales reached an all-time high of 60,907 units, including 59,667 units in domestic wholesales. This represented a significant year-on-year growth of 47%.
- Mahindra & Mahindra: In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra recorded domestic sales of 56,233 units, reflecting a 10% year-on-year growth. Overall sales, including exports, reached 58,714 units. In the Commercial Vehicles category, domestic sales stood at 26,728 units, marking a robust 18% growth.
