Sensex Trades 600 Points Higher Today on Global Optimism and US-India Trade Hopes

Domestic equity markets started the week on a robust note, with benchmark indices climbing higher amid positive global cues and optimism surrounding a potential trade agreement between the US and India.

At 10:33 AM, the Nifty 50 jumped 171.25 points to 25,966.40, while the BSE Sensex surged 575.03 points to 84,786.91. Broader market indices also traded in positive territory, reflecting the upbeat mood on Dalal Street.

The market rally was largely driven by strong quarterly earnings from several companies, including key Nifty 50 constituents. SBI Life and Coforge witnessed notable gains, while Kotak Bank struggled to maintain momentum.

Among the Nifty 500 stocks, other major gainers included Eclerx, RR Kabel, Welspun Corp, Coforge, and FSL, with a majority of stocks trading in the green.

Today's market focus will be on earnings reports from Adani Energy Solutions, Bata, Chennai Petro, the recently listed Canara Bank subsidiaries, Indus Towers, Indian Oil, Kfin Tech, and Mazagon Dock. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to hear Vodafone Idea's plea concerning AGR dues.
