Reliance Industries Subsidiary Reliance Intelligence and Meta Form JV to Launch Enterprise AI Services

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence Limited, has incorporated a new entity, Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL), to drive enterprise AI solutions in partnership with Meta Platforms’ subsidiary, Facebook Overseas Inc.
Reliance and Meta Join Forces for AI Innovation
According to the company’s disclosure, REIL was incorporated in India on October 24, 2025, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Intelligence. The entity will become a joint venture under an amended and restated joint venture agreement with Facebook Overseas Inc., a subsidiary of Meta Platforms Inc. The collaboration aims to develop, market, and distribute enterprise-grade artificial intelligence services to help businesses leverage emerging digital technologies.
Under the agreement, Reliance Intelligence will hold a 70% stake in REIL, while Facebook will own the remaining 30%. Both companies have jointly committed an initial investment of approximately ₹855 crore to fund the venture’s establishment and early operations.
Initial Investment and Ownership Structure
Reliance Intelligence has invested ₹2 crore towards the initial subscription of 20,00,000 equity shares valued at ₹10 each. The joint venture structure is designed to combine Reliance’s technological reach and business infrastructure with Meta’s advanced AI and data capabilities to deliver enterprise-focused solutions across sectors.

Regulatory and Transaction Details
The company clarified that the formation of REIL does not fall within the scope of related party transactions and that none of the promoters or group companies of Reliance Industries have any direct interest in it. No governmental or regulatory approvals were required for its incorporation. Reliance Intelligence received formal intimation regarding the incorporation at 1:19 p.m. (IST) on October 24, 2025.
