PNB MetLife Announces ₹1,210 Crore Annual Bonus For 5.51 Lakh Policyholders

PNB MetLife India Insurance Company has declared an annual bonus of around ₹1,210 crore for participating policyholders for the financial year 2025-26, as per The CNBC TV18 news report. The insurer announced the bonus on September 7, 2026.
The amount is the company’s highest-ever annual bonus for participating policies. It is also 16.25% higher than the ₹1,041 crore bonus declared for the previous financial year.
5.51 Lakh Policyholders to Benefit
The bonus will benefit around 5.51 lakh participating policyholders, according to PNB MetLife. It applies to eligible participating policies that were in force as of March 31, 2026.
The company said the bonus was declared based on the performance of its participating fund during FY26. The actual treatment of the bonus depends on the terms of the individual policy.
Participating Plans Covered
The declaration covers several participating products offered by PNB MetLife. These include PNB MetLife Century Plan, PNB MetLife Endowment Savings Plan Plus, and PNB MetLife Super Saver Plan.
Other plans covered are Met Suvidha (Par), MetLife Endowment Savings Plan, and Met Monthly Income Plan. Participating policies allow policyholders to share in the profits of an insurer’s participating fund through bonuses, subject to the terms of the policy.
The bonus may be added to policy benefits instead of being paid as an immediate cash amount, depending on the product.
PNB MetLife’s Operations in India
Sameer Bansal, Managing Director and CEO of PNB MetLife, said the annual bonus reflected the performance of the company’s participating funds and its approach to managing participating policies over the long term.
PNB MetLife has been operating in India for 25 years. The company has 185 offices and reaches customers in more than 20,000 locations through bank partnerships. It has more than 40,000 financial advisers and serves over 585 group relationships.
