Passport Seva Programme 2.0: A National Rollout

PSP Version 2.0 brings a complete overhaul of the passport service delivery system across the country. With advanced technologies for data management and automation, the new system promises smoother processing, reduced wait times, and enhanced user experiences. The rollout also includes pilot testing at Indian missions abroad under Global PSP V2.0, aligning with India’s commitment to supporting its diaspora.

e-Passports with Embedded Security

India now joins the ranks of nations offering e-Passports equipped with embedded contactless chips. These next-generation passports enable faster immigration processes and significantly enhanced security features. Citizens using e-Passports can expect quicker clearance at international entry and exit points, improving their travel experience while ensuring data protection integrity.

Boosted Infrastructure and Reach

Over the past year, 10 new Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) have been inaugurated, including the landmark 450th POPSK in Kushinagar.
