Oriana Power Secures ₹476 Crore Order for Solar Plant with BESS in Rajasthan

Oriana Power Limited has signed an agreement to set up a 75 MW solar power plant with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 111.57 MWh in Rajasthan, as per a recent filing. The project will be executed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract covering design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning.

Contract Value and Timeline

The total value of the contract is approximately ₹476.13 crore, including GST. The project has a scheduled execution timeline of eight months from the date of order and receipt of advance payment.

The order has been placed by a domestic company in the cement industry. Oriana Power confirmed that the project does not fall under related-party transactions and that neither the promoters nor the promoter group have any interest in the awarding entity.

Scope of Work

The project includes complete EPC responsibilities for the solar plant along with storage capacity. The BESS of 111.57 MWh is designed to store electricity generated and balance the power supply as required. The work spans all phases from initial engineering to final commissioning.

The announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Details of the contract have been shared with the National Stock Exchange as part of the company’s disclosure obligations.
