Ola Consumer has rolled out a non-AC ride category across India, becoming the only platform to offer this option at scale, as per the news reports.
The move expands its mobility offerings by adding a lower-cost segment designed for everyday travel needs and wider customer choice.
The new category is aimed at commuters who prioritise value-driven travel at transparent prices. Ola said the early response to the offering has been strong, reflecting rising demand for simple, flexible and fairly priced mobility options.
The company also highlighted that feedback so far underscores how strongly users want more control over affordability and choice.
The launch also opens a wider rider base for Ola’s driver partners, particularly those catering to low-fare segments. With lower fuel load and no air-conditioning requirements, drivers can achieve better operating efficiency and higher take-home earnings.
As per news reports, Ola said the introduction aligns with its broader effort to make mobility more inclusive, calling it "a step ahead in our mission to rethink mobility in India, and make it truly inclusive for every consumer."
The non-AC option is now available across autos, bikes and cabs, and builds Ola’s 0% commission model that allows over 1 million drivers to retain their entire fare earnings without caps on income or rides.
