NTPC Green Energy and Singareni Collieries Sign MoU for Renewable Energy Projects

NTPC Green Energy inks MoU with Singareni Collieries to jointly explore renewable energy projects across solar, wind, hybrid, storage and hydrogen.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has entered into an agreement with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for renewable energy projects. The MoU was signed on November 19, 2025 in Hyderabad, as per the exchnage filings. It was exchanged in the presence of SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram (IRS) and representatives from both organisations.  

Areas Covered Under the Agreement 

The MoU allows both companies to work on various clean energy projects. This includes solar, wind and hybrid power systems. The scope also covers projects linked to storage technologies. In addition, the companies may explore work related to green hydrogen, its derivatives, and mobility solutions based on clean energy.  

Disclosure Filed with Stock Exchanges 

The announcement was shared with BSE and the National Stock Exchange as per Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The filing was signed by Manish Kumar, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.  

About NTPC Green Energy and Singareni Collieries 

NGEL is a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, operating in the renewable energy sector. The corporate office is based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with the registered office located in New Delhi.  

SCCL, traditionally known for coal mining, has been exploring areas outside its core operations. Its participation in this MoU gives it an avenue to examine cleaner sources of energy along with a central government entity in the power generation space. 

NTPC Green Energy Share Price Performance 

As of November 20, 2025, 10:56 am, NTPC Green Energy share price was trading at ₹98.10, a 0.081% decline from the previous closing price.

Conclusion 

Through this MoU, NGEL and SCCL will jointly identify and examine renewable and clean energy projects across areas such as solar, wind, hybrid systems, energy storage, hydrogen-based applications and mobility solutions.
